DESCRIPTION

Potentialities
Arena Lviv Albert Wimmer Euro2012Arena Lviv meets all the requirements of UEFA, which include development of new technologies in construction, information and digital spheres. A good few of the requirements aimed at increasing of spectators’ conveniences and security at the match.

Arena Lviv Albert Wimmer Euro2012During Euro 2012 the Lviv stadium will seat 32,767 guests, including 300 seats - for honoured guests in the VIP-zone and about 150 seats in the skybox zone. The “hallmark’ of the stadium is its view of the pitch from the spectators’ seats of both upper and lower tiers, since the specially designed stands structure provides the maximum effect of the spectator on the pitch. All the seats are located under partially transparent covering. After the European Championship number of seats will be increased to 34,915 by reducing the media sector and the area provided for special technique for broadcasting of Euro 2012 finals.

The western administrative building houses “match zone” (rooms for coaches, players’ locker-rooms, referees’ rooms and match delegates), press center, conference halls, VIP- sector, restaurant, rooms for the championship organizers, as well as many commercial areas.
Special features
Albert Wimmer Arena Lviv Euro2012In addition to extremely full visibility of Arena Lviv stadium, it has another defining feature – its architecture. This is so-called "promenade" between the lower and upper tiers of spectator stands. All the visitors enter the promenade after they have passed the turnstiles. The aim of the promenade is not only to regulate spectators’ flows but there is the basic number of fast- foods and public toilets situated on it. Locking the entire stadium like ring, the promenade provides a convenient space for walking and facilitates the orientation at the stadium.

ECO-SUSTAINABILITY

Arena Lviv Albert Wimmer Euro2012Arena Lviv has been designed as a "green stadium". Around the sports facilities there is anticipated planting of thousands of plants - trees, bushes and flowers. The unusual system of watering the stadium lawn is also focused on the harmonious combination with the environment: two water basins near the stadium collect rainwater for future use.
