Purchased by the Municipality of Saint-Gilles and renovated in 1984-89 by architect Louis Hoebeke, the building became headquarters of “Espace Photographique Contretype” dedicated to promoting creative photography with exhibitions, in honour of to talented photographer Edouard Hannon.
