Goetheanum II, Rudolf Steiner, Dornach, Solothurn, SwitzerlandThe Goetheanum I (1913/1920) was built as the headquarters of "Anthroposophical Society", a movement founded by Steiner; built in wood, was destroyed by a fire in 1922.

On the death of Steiner, in 1925, only the foundations were laid of the new reinforced concrete building, which was completed by the Norwegian architect Eppel following faithfully the Steiner project.
