The Krutzler winery is now run by the fifth generation of the family and Hermann Krutzler works side by side from ‚Krutzler to Krutzler’ with his sons Reinhold and Erich on the best that southern Burgenland has to offer, the Blaufränkisch grape. Continuity is no mere slogan here, the same is equally true of quality. ‚Perwolff’ is not only an old name for Deutsch Schuetzen, first mentioned in documents in 1221, but also the symbol of quality of his winery and first class wine with an international reputation.

For the design of a new production building the Krutzlers turned to the Vienna architects Pichler & Traupmann, who have completed a substantial body of impressive work in the surrounding area. The recently restored double house, set amidst romantic hilly scenery, still forms the street side. Behind it, quite unexpectedly, extends the shed building erected in 2001 clad in galvanized sheet steel. Maximum reduction and an almost functionalist approach to the interior of the steel frame structure – the band of glazing results from the functionally necessary change in level. The barrique cellar, articulated by four stanchions, is impressive thanks to the ceiling slab of pre–cast concrete panels with flush–integrated fluorescent lighting tubes.
